You’ve heard about Climate Change?
Are you ready for the change that this will bring?
Air Conditioning & Refrigerant Safe Handling Courses
The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry has always been heavily regulated largely due to the safety implications involved. This regulation is set to increase following pressure from industry regulators such as the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the EEC and as a result of climate change.
Climate change and particularly global warming has meant that consumers across the commercial, industrial and residential sectors are looking for energy efficient solutions through air conditioning and refrigeration. This interest has led to increased demand at a time when there is a shortage of skilled engineers. Tekion courses attract candidates who would like to enhance their career prospects in this sector as well as existing engineers who wish to bring themselves upto date and obtain practical experience.
Candidates must complete a written examination, which is set by the CITB, and a practical assessment to show their ability to safely handle refrigerants. When a PASS is achieved and on completion of the course the candidate may be entered onto the CITB register. To remain on the register, candidates must be re-assessed every 3 years.
